Analysis of rotary drying equipment
Rotary drying equipment is a type of industrial drying equipment that reduces or minimizes the moisture content of the material it processes by directly contacting it with heated gas. Heyl & Patterson, this type of machine manufacturing, materials, chemicals and fertilizers for mineral and metallurgical ore, grains and cereals, as well as pulp, pigments, biomass, coal, oil sands and soil remediation.
The heart of the rotary dryer is a rotating cylinder, or housing, that is slightly tilted horizontally. Its length can be four to ten times its diameter. The material is fed into one end of the cylinder, and it continuously exits from the other end by virtue of its rotation and slope, and the influence of the material of the head. The inside of the enclosure is equipped with a specially designed flight that advances the raw material of the enclosure to the active area and effectively exposes the material to a heat source.
The rotating shell operates at neutral or slightly negative pressure, and the fixed breechings or end boxes are sealed at each end. Various sealing structures are used to connect the breechings to the cylinder, depending on the process conditions. These vary from simple cloth sections to advanced metal seals. Wet feed enters the cylinder, passes through the other breechings and exits. Similarly, hot air enters and exits through breechings. Any stationary downstream equipment such as air heaters, conveyors, air locks and exhaust gas treatment equipment are sealed with these breechings.
Heavy forged steel tires or cycling rings are mounted on the housing. These auras support the rotation and rest of the trunnion rollers because of its housing. In addition to the trunnion roller, the thrust roller helps to keep the shell in its correct longitudinal position. The shell usually rotates at 2-6 RPM, using a rack and pinion or chain and sprocket drive system. Rack and pinion driven models generally use the circumference of the pick gear, which is divided into two to suit the installation, and allows the gear to reverse, and has a long service life.
